I must've spoke of the word
a couple times around her
but I used the word in a sense
of surrounding her, but
far from drowning her
still I found myself
playing her closer than
my position
was supposed to get
I had to imprison my wants
and stop letting my
emotions slip
off the lid of my tongue
too casually
it feel sort of like
cutting off a limb
that's gotten used to
moving naturally
yeah, I know
there's a time and reason
for everything, right?
why does it seem like everything
is always a reason
there's no time for me
in her life
I guess I kinda understand though
every woman and man flows

well I don't fit in
as far as the plans go

it's a whole different story 
when comforted by pillows
and my eyes close
the door of opportunity
is only a handle's width
I got nothing to gamble with
I see colors
pictures of me and her
no props or camera tricks
just yellow besides ebony
darkness mixed with
blue-shaded candlesticks
an image too vivid
to lie or deny
in the whites of our eyes
each other's souls glow
through the bright 
orange and blue
flame flicker
Just wish she could take time out
to see the same picture"
